Polystyrene Ceiling Tiles or Styrofoam glue up panels have been around as long as I or any ceiling fixer can remember and that's all the way back to dinosaurs, no really in 1947 a way to make foamed polystyrene was found and they have been with us ever since, the early variations ere far from safe in the case of a fire breaking out they would spread the flame rapidly across the ceiling.
Any still found today should be removed rather than risking a disaster, however the modern day versions to found in Diy stores most builders merchants and online such as Ebay and Amazon are quite safe though you should always check the label or ask an assistant to clarify the fire resistance before buying, that goes for the tile adhesive as well, better safe than sorry when dealing with Polystyrene Ceiling Tiles.

Hi there, I am looking to price 6000sq ft of Polystyrene drop down ceiling tiles; 600mm x 600mm, for delivery to central Dublin? I would like to see samples first. If you could mail me some photos and a quote for them delivered in Dublin, that would be great? Also, I'm not sure about the VAT position. The quote would need to be valid for four months. Thanks.
